ASM with B-MAX Racing is the S2000 that battled rivals for the fastest NA S2000 lap time at Tsukuba back in 2019, and it's now entering Attack Tsukuba 2026. After its final run at the S2000 20th Festival held in September 2019, it got an even lighter body from SUCCEED SPORTS' Ichikawa-san and a highly refined engine from TODA RACING's Shimada-san, and it ran in 2024—but it fell a whopping 0.4 seconds short of the time it recorded in 2019.
ASM with B-MAX Racingは、2019年にライバル達とNA S2000 筑波最速をかけて戦ったS2000で、Attack Tsukuba 2026に参戦します。2019年9月に開催されたS2000 20th Festivalでのラストランの後、SUCCEED SPORTS市川さんの手でより軽くなったボディやTODA RACING島田さんが完成度を高めたエンジンを手に入れて2024年に走ったのですが、2019年に記録したタイムにコンマ4秒も及ばない結果に終わっていました。
It was heartbreaking to work next to my former beloved car, left in that frustrating, unfulfilled state. But then, suddenly, it was decided that we'd enter the S2000 together with B-MAX Co., Ltd. The B-MAX Racing team, led by President Kumoda, has been rushing through the work at full throttle: fixing the bell housing that wasn't securely mounted, revising the fuel layout ASM had originally planned to prioritize safety, producing test parts with an eye on next season and beyond, and refreshing various components.
On the day of Attack Tsukuba 2026, we'll be on the B paddock side where the S2000 class cars gather—not the A paddock side near the home straight—so please come check out the debut of the ASM with B-MAX S2000!
そんな不完全燃焼状態で放置された元・愛車の横で仕事をするのは悲しい気持ちだったのですが、急遽B-MAX(株)と一緒にS2000を出走させることが決定しました。組田社長が率いるB-MAX Racing Teamの皆さんはしっかり固定できていないベルハウジングを修正したり、当初ASMが考えていた燃料レイアウトを見直して安全性を考慮した仕様に変更したり、来シーズン以降を見据えたテストパーツを製作したり、各部リフレッシュ作業を急ピッチで進めています。Attack Tsukuba 2026当日はホームストレートに近いAパドック側ではなく、S2000クラス車両が集まるBパドック側にいますので、ぜひ初参戦のASM with B-MAX S2000をご覧ください！
